What our organization offers:
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
Junior kindergarten through high school: 940 students, ages 4–18 on a vibrant 6-acre campus; students live in 63 zip codes in the diverse Chicagoland area. An active learning environment with a 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio, light-filled classrooms and modern athletic and performance spaces that form a rich tapestry that enriches every student’s experience. Parker provides our students, and our society, with a specific, invaluable and sustainable resource: Educated people who identify themselves as creative citizens capable of thinking for themselves and listening to others—especially to those who with whom they may not agree—in ways that inspire them to apply their idealism in pragmatic ways as they think critically and act collaboratively to solve problems facing our world.
Colonel Francis W. Parker’s vision of a Model Home inspires our community. We are committed to challenging students to think critically and engage deeply in their learning. Since 1901, Parker has offered a progressive, transformative education, preparing students for civic engagement and social justice. Our curriculum fosters creativity, critical thinking and a connection to the world that prepares students for college and the world beyond Parker.
